Fill My Pills

Fill My Pills NOW!

In an outrageous move to stop women from preventing unintended pregnancies, some pharmacists across the country have refused to fill prescriptions for emergency contraception and other birth control pills. The reason? They state that filling these prescriptions conflicts with their personal bias. However, birth control is basic health care and restricting access to prescribed drugs is nothing short of discrimination. Don’t let ideology trump sound science — join our Fill My Pills Now! campaign today and urge your local pharmacy to adopt a pro-women’s health policy that will fill prescriptions on site, without discrimination or delay.

Have you been REFUSED birth control or emergency contraception? If so, please share your story with us. E-mail the following to pr@pphsinc.org.

  • patient name and contact phone
  • pharmacy name and address
  • pharmacist who refused to fill the prescription
  • date of incident details of incident (as thorough and accurate as possible)

Planned Parenthood Health Systems does not oppose a policy that permits accommodation of a pharmacist’s genuinely held religious beliefs, provided that the accommodation does not cause the patient delay or untold barriers to securing service. PPHS is committed to ensuring patients have access to their prescription in-store, without discrimination or delay.

Remember: You can always depend on Planned Parenthood — we filled more than a million prescriptions for emergency contraception at Planned Parenthood affiliate health centers across the country last year. To find a Planned Parenthood near you, follow this link.
