What Your Donation Buys

Planned Parenthood Health Systems relies on private giving to subsidize health care to low income women, men and teens and to fund our education and public advocacy programs.

Here are some examples of how your donation can help:

  • $45 will pay for one dose of emergency contraception, which can prevent pregnancy if used within 120 hours after unprotected sex – the sooner the better.

  • $100 will pay for a presentation to at risk teens about safer sex.

  • $150 will pay for a woman’s complete annual exam, including testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).

  • $220 will pay for a woman’s birth control pills for one year.

  • $320 will pay for an HIV test for 5 people.

  • $500 will pay for a Community Live Action Camp.

  • $950 will provide one teen the opportunity to participate for 1 year in the Adolescent Parenting Program (APP).

  • $2500 will provide 10 women contraception for one year.
