Planned Giving

Leaving Your Legacy Through a Planned Gift

By leaving a bequest in your will or creating another planned gift, you can help ensure that the benefits of family planning and reproductive choice will continue for generations to come.

Here are the most common ways other supporters have declared their intentions for Planned Parenthood.

  • Include a Bequest in Your Will

You can name Planned Parenthood Health Systems as a charitable beneficiary in your will or living trust. Some donors designate specific bequests, some leave percentages of their estates, and some name Planned Parenthood as a contingent beneficiary, ensuring that family or friends are provided for first.

  • Use your Retirement Fund as a Gift Planning Tool

You can designate Planned Parenthood Health Systems to receive the remainder of an IRA, 401(d), 403(b) or  Keogh plan through a change of beneficiary form. During your life, you retain all income and control. This can be arranged without a will and at no charge.

  • Make a Gift of a Bank or Investment Account

You can name Planned Parenthood to inherit your bank account or investment fund directly. During your life, you control the assets.

  • Designate Your Insurance Policy

Both whole life policies and term policies allow for a charitable organization to be names as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary.

  • Charitable Gift Annuity Provides Lifetime Income

A Gift Annuity or Charitable Remainder Trust will provide you with lifetime income and ensure a legacy gift to Planned Parenthood.
