Volunteering is a great way to be part of Planned Parenthood in your community. Our offices have needs and opportunities specific to each location. We welcome your involvement, participation and your voice! Please read below for more details on how to best take the next step:
To get involved in your community, contact your local Planned Parenthood Office directly for specific details on volunteer opportunities in that location.

To volunteer in Raleigh, NC: Volunteer opportunities include translators (English-Spanish), front desk support, education and community outreach programs, political activity work, fund raising projects, HR/Volunteer programs and business office support. The first step is to attend a Volunteer Information Session (VIS) held at our office...100 S. Boylan Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27603. Upcoming sessions are as follows:

Adult mentors are needed in New Hanover and Pender counties. Adolescent Parenting Program (APP), which has offices in Burgaw, NC and Wilmington, NC, needs volunteers! Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have a telephone and transportation, and be a high school graduate. Volunteers must commit four hours per month for one year to a teen parent and will work one-on-one with a teen parent. Duties include serving as a positive role model, friend and advocate, helping with transportation, attending monthly peer group meetings with the teen, and encouraging good parenting skills, school attendance and responsible sexuality.
